I think that I am going to do a ship in the bottle idea. I will paint a design on the outside and then make some water design with a teal water color. Then i will put a phrase on the inside and then take string and a wait and tighten it just enough so that I can hang a ship inside it without the string being seen.
I couldn't do that idea because I couldn't get a ship in the bottle. So instead I went in a almost different direction. I took part of the first part of the idea where I make the middle of it see-through while making the painted sides look like waves.I added a phrase and that turned out pretty well a bit off center but pretty well. I decided to put some sand and rocks in the jar, but the bag I tried to put it in ripped before I even got it in.
I wanted the boat but I couldn't get that to work. I failed with the sand and rocks sadly. So I had to pull away from both of those and make it completely differen't. I kept the middle see-through, and tried to make it look like waves as much as possible. I even failed at that part.
I believe that if I would have had just a bit more time I probably could have made it look better. I don't think it lived up to it's full potential because there was no reasonable way I could fit a boat in there. I couldn't get in the right type of rocks and sand, and the waves don't really look like waves except at the center. The phrase looks good on it and I think thats the real part that brings the piece together, I wish i could have done better but..."Dreams can change like waves on the water."
